VETERINARIAN

Dr. Anjali Bandekar, DVM, M VET MED, BVSc & AH

Dr. Anjali Bandekar graduated from Bombay Veterinary College in India , and continued with her studies by earning a master's degree in Animal Surgery from Great Britain's Royal Veterinary College in 1999.
She built her experience by working at an animal clinic in Mumbai for over 2 years before moving to the US.
Before starting her own practice (New Britain Veterinary Clinic) she worked for 2 years at the Philadelphia SPCA and went on to work for over 6 years with Pleasant Valley Animal Hospital in Coopersburg, PA.

Dr Bandekar opened New Britain Veterinary Clinic in 2010. Her specialty is in small animal medicine and surgery.
She lives with her husband, two daughters, and a Maltipoo named Theodore.

 

VETERINARIAN

Dr. Lauren McGuire B.S, DVM

Dr. Lauren McGuire is a recent graduate from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. McGuire received her bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from Delaware Valley University and received her DVM from Ross University’s School of Veterinary Medicine. In addition, Dr. McGuire spent her intern year at Cornell University’s School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. McGuire has been working at the clinic since her sophomore year of college and is excited to begin her career as a veterinarian at New Britain Veterinary Clinic.

HEAD VETERINARY NURSE & PRACTICE MANAGER

Jenny

Jenny joined New Britain Veterinary Clinic in 2010. She has been in the veterinary field since 1987 starting off in the kennel and working her way up to Head Veterinary Nurse. In addition to her nursing duties, Jenny is also our Practice Manager. She is married and has two daughters. She also has three cats and two dogs.

 

GROOMER

Jessica

Jessica Simon is New Britain Veterinary Clinic's Groomer. Jess has been grooming for 19 years and is also an active foster and board member for Logan's Heroes Animal Rescue. She has 7+ certifications including puppy safety, canine geriatric, feline, and dermatology. She has a hobby of beekeeping and has five rescue dogs and three rescue cats.

VETERINARY NURSE

Taylor

Taylor, the primary surgical nurse, is a foster for Logans Heroes Animal Rescue and has rescued two dogs including one who has spina bifida. She loves helping animals and is currently working to get certified as a Veterinary Technician.

VETERINARY TECHNICIAN

Zoey

Zoey has a degree in Zoology from Delaware Valley University. She transitioned to the clinic from her past experience working at a wild life refuge. She has one dog, Barik, who was adpoted from Russia, and two cats named Cinnamon and Ebony.

Alyssa

Alyssa has been working in the animal care industry for over 10 years and has worked for New Britain Veterinary Clinic for the past three years. She has a passion for working with animals. She has four dogs and five cats including her newest addition, Sky, who is blind.

 

VETERINARY STUDENT

Elizabeth

Elizabeth is a current veterinary student at Long Island University. She got her bacholers in biology from Pennsylvania State University, and has worked at the clinic since her sophmore year. She hopes to specialize in small animal medicine, and cannot wait to join the practice as a DVM.

 

STUDENT VETERINARY ASSISTANTS

Raina and Sanya

Raina and Sanya are current high school students at Germantown Academy. Raina is planning on attending college and majoring in bio-medical sciences on the pre-med track. This past year she conducted a research project at the clinic exploring the question: “Does early gonodectomy predispose canines to cranial cruciate ligament injury?” She hopes to continue her research through her senior year. Sanya loves animals and hopes to gain experince in the veterinary field.
